God's Power Released!
Testimony of God
at Work
Shaneen was speaking in the our church and when she stopped, she pointed towards me and said, "God wants to heal you." The next week I went for a regular check up, and the doctor said I had been healed from Hepatic C. Margaret, London |

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted and to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners?
(Isaiah 61: 1)
I?m thrilled to head back to India in October for my third 3-day healing crusade. I will be partnering with Pastor Abraham, who has planted 300 churches in southern India. Also featured at the event will be 2004 Miss India, Simran Mathew ( see her inspiring story below). We will minister to the poor, widows and orphans, the broken, the untouchable class and many with major sickness such as HIV/AIDS.
We hope to reach 100,000 people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a country where only 3% of its 1.1 billion people are Christian. About 85% are Hindu, and 14% are Muslim. At least 40% (430 million) are under age 18. Sexual abuse occurs in 1 in 10 of the population. One in 6 baby girls are either aborted during pregnancy or abandoned and left to die during their first few weeks of life.
We also will hold a pastor?s conference to help build the Christian church in India. We will help them learn to reach out to their communities for physical and spiritual healing.
Two years before my first crusade to India, I chuckled when a woman at one of my conferences prophesied that I would hold crusades there. I am of Indian origin but was reared in London and had no desire preaching in India. When an Indian pastor found me via the Internet, he convinced me to answer this call from the Lord. The fruit of these crusades astounds me.
Following an exhausting day of preaching at the first crusade, I returned to my quarters 5 times. Each time, 2 Sikh women were waiting for me in the lobby. They requested prayer for one of the women, a university professor, whose slipped disc had caused excruciating pain for the past week. She said she had read about the healing miracles of the God I served. I laid hands on her and asked if she would like to invite Jesus into her life, and He would heal her. She exclaimed, "Yes!? I explained that there was only one God and that she must worship no other. At her medical appointment the next day, the doctors confirmed that she was healed! She invited me to her home to pray for her entire Sikh family, and ALL gave their hearts to the Lord that day.
Please keep the 2008 India Crusade in your prayers. Please pray for:
- The health and safety of the team traveling to India
- A harvest of souls and healings during the crusade
- The continued work of our ministry, along with traveling mercies as my team travels locally and internationally to minister to people and introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Finding Greatness in the Lord
Miss India's Rags to Riches Testimony
Simran Mathew?s only childhood memory is loneliness. Her father abandoned the family when Simran was 3 years old. Life became a constant battle for survival. Simran?s mother and sister were Christians and found the strength to overcome their challenges through their faith. But Simran rebelled.
"I was never interested,? said Simran. "I was angry with God, my family and everyone around me.?
As a teenage model, Simran?s embarrassment about her circumstances turned into pride as she climbed the ladder to fame as one of India?s top models and then won the 2004 Miss India contest.
"I was a hero in my town,? she said. "I loved all the attention, and I finally could buy everything I wanted. But no matter how hard I tried to fill the void inside me, I felt empty.?
Her friends grew up in similar backgrounds. They partied most nights in a desperate wish that drinking, smoking marijuana and entering into unhealthy relationships with men would fill their emptiness.
"Desperation finally led me to give Jesus a try,? she said. "From that day on, drugs and alcohol no longer controlled my life. I started going to church and focused my eyes on Jesus. I broke up with my boyfriend because I wanted to be obedient to God, who eventually became the Daddy I never had.?
Simran now is married to a Christian businessman, and they live in Dubai. She founded and runs Princesses of God, a ministry to young girls who face challenges similar to those of her childhood. She maintains close friendships with the girls of her partying days but has led all of them to the Lord.
